Description

Homemade Moose Tracks Ice Cream is a delightful frozen treat featuring creamy vanilla ice cream swirled with peanut butter and chocolate fudge, loaded with mini peanut butter cups. A perfect indulgence for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate fudge sauce
  • 1/2 cup mini peanut butter cups, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Gradually add the warm cream mixture while whisking constantly.
  3. Return to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until it thickens slightly. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and stir in vanilla extract. Chill for at least 4 hours.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. During the last few minutes of churning, add the chopped mini peanut butter cups.
  6. Transfer to a bowl and gently swirl in the peanut butter and chocolate fudge sauce.
  7. Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
