Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 pint half-and-half cream
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk (or as needed)

Instructions

  1. Dice the peaches and mix them with sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 10–15 minutes to release their juices.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Stir in the peaches and their juices.
  3. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker’s container. Add enough whole milk to reach the fill line (about 2 cups).
  4. Follow your ice cream maker’s instructions to freeze the mixture until it reaches a creamy consistency.
  5. For quicker freezing, chill the container before adding the mixture. Serve immediately or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze until firm.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. Chill your ice cream maker bowl for at least 24 hours before use for optimal texture.
