Description
Homemade Peach Ice Cream is a refreshing treat that highlights the natural sweetness of fresh peaches. This creamy dessert is perfect for summer and easy to make with simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 pint half-and-half cream
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whole milk (or as needed)
Instructions
- Dice the peaches and mix them with sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 10–15 minutes to release their juices.
- In a large bowl, combine the half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Stir in the peaches and their juices.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker’s container. Add enough whole milk to reach the fill line (about 2 cups).
- Follow your ice cream maker’s instructions to freeze the mixture until it reaches a creamy consistency.
- For quicker freezing, chill the container before adding the mixture. Serve immediately or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze until firm.
Notes
Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. Chill your ice cream maker bowl for at least 24 hours before use for optimal texture.
