Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Flatten to an even thickness for even cooking
  • 1 cup buttermilk Can marinate for extra tenderness
  • 2 pieces eggs Mix with buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour For coating

For the Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon paprika For flavor
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Add more for extra heat
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For Frying

  • Oil For frying, heated to 350°F (175°C)

Preparation

  • Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
  • In a bowl, mix buttermilk and eggs together until well combined.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.

Cooking

  • Dip each chicken breast into the buttermilk mixture first, then dredge it in the flour mixture, making sure to coat it fully.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Once done, drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Notes

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces. Pairs well with fries, coleslaw, or a fresh salad. Add lemon wedges for a zesty touch. To store leftovers, let cool completely, then place in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
