Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft (5–7 minutes). Let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, sautéed veggies, salt, and pepper. Combine just until mixed.
Transfer mixture into prepared loaf pan. Shape into a loaf.
Bake for 45–50 minutes or until internal temp reaches 160°F (70°C).
Top with provolone cheese for the last 10 minutes of baking until melted and bubbly.
Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To freeze, wrap slices individually and freeze for up to 3 months.
