  • 30 oz frozen hashbrowns Use a 30 oz package.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Bring to room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 6 eggs Large eggs are recommended.
  • 1/2 cup milk Can be substituted with any milk of choice.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For maximum flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, frozen hashbrowns, softened cream cheese, eggs, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until well-combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Cut into squares.

Notes

Can be served with fresh fruit salad, crispy bacon, toast, or pancakes. Pair with coffee or orange juice. For lighter options, substitute sausage or add veggies.
