  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup milk Can substitute with almond milk for a dairy-free option.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder. Stir them well.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of milk, 1/3 cup of melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the dry mixture. Mix until just combined; don’t overdo it.
  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is set and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Notes

Pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent experience. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
